    Day 1: San Cristobal Island – El Junco Lake
    Our local guide will welcome you and begin the excursion towards the highlands of the island where we will have the opportunity to visit the center where giant Galapagos turtles are raised. After this visit, we will enjoy a wonderful lunch at a nearby farm. Then we will continue our excursion to the Junco Lake, the only fresh water lake, where we will watch marine birds. Just a few minutes away from this place, we will stop at a viewpoint to watch a beautiful view of the Puerto Baquerizo Moreno Bay. Return to the hotel and lodging. B/L/-

    Day 2: San Cristobal Island – Kicker Rock – Puerto Grande
    We will sail to the famous León Dormido (Kicker Rock) where we can observe the high-flying booby birds and frigate birds. We will spend the best time snorkeling and swimming with rays, seals, iguanas, multicolored fish, and many more. Afterwards we will go to Puerto Grande or Manglesito to enjoy breath taking landscapes and a well-deserved rest. A box lunch will also be provided. Return to the hotel and lodging. B/BL/-

    Day 3: San Cristobal Island – Santa Cruz Island – Charles Darwin Research Station – Primicias Ranch
    We will make an early morning trip to Santa Cruz Island, one of the most important islands in the Archipelago (because this is where most of the hotels and tourist accommodations are located). After arrival, we will tour the important Charles Darwin Research Station where we will visit one of the largest Galapagos tortoises and land iguanas breeding centers. The local guide will give us a detailed explanation on the islands evolution. Lunch in middle of the day at the village. In the afternoon, we will go to the highland in order to do a downhill biking and visit Primicias Ranch, where is possible to enjoy an interesting hike, with the purpose to look for the giant Galapagos tortoises. After this hike, we will visit the lava tubes (Formed after volcanic eruptions). Return to the hotel and lodging. B/L

    Sports: Hiking and Biking

    Day 4: Santa Cruz Island – Kayak Tour or Bay Tour – Trip to Isabela Island
    In the morning, we will take a tour around the bay. If you are an adventurous kind of person, the perfect way to enjoy the bay is taking a kayak tour from Puerto Ayora, it will all depend on your physical condition. In other circumstances, you can take a bay tour, which will visit Punta Estrada, the German´s Beach, channels of love, and the Grietas, during this trip is possible to watch seabirds, sea lions, and you can snorkel. We will visit The Channels of Love and the Grietas. In the middle of the day, there will be a lunch in a local restaurant. Afterwards, we will take a speedboat to Isabela Island, one of the most beautiful places in the archipelago. Lodging at the chosen hotel. B/L/-

    Sports: Kayak or Snorkel and Swimming

    Day 5: Tintoreras Channel – Wall of Tears – Orchilla Lookout point
    In the morning, we will be hiking at Tintoreras Islet. Herds of white tip reef sharks can often be seen here, resting around the lava canals. You can also observe hundreds of marine iguanas, as “Las Tintoreras” is one of their main nesting sites. On the nearby sandy beaches, sea lions play and relax in the sun. Afterwards we will have an opportunity to snorkel. Return to town for lunch in a typical local restaurant. In the afternoon, we will be biking toward the Wall of Tears. This historical was built by the prisoners of the Ecuador´s first jail. On our way, back we will stop at the Orchilla lookout point. From the top, you can see the entire coastal wetland system including Poza de los Diablos, Puerto Villamil, the beaches, the volcanoes and the islets to the southeast of Isabela. It’s a great location for panoramic photos on clear days. Return to the hotel and lodging. B/L/-

    Day 6: Isabela Island – Sierra Negra Volcano – Chico Volcano- Campo Duro Ranch
    Today our guide will meet you at the hotel and take you to one of the most beautiful volcanoes in the world, Sierra Negra Volcano whose crater is approximately 7 kilometers wide. We will have a long trekking tour depending on weather conditions and depending on your hiking skills. After visiting Sierra Negra Volcano, we follow straight to the active Chico Volcano, where we will walk around its fumaroles and enjoy the ocean view and the breathtaking landscape. This will be a long trekking tour (approximately 7 hours). After this wonderful day, we will have a delicious lunch in Campo Duro farm. Here you can enjoy beautiful gardens and you can see Galapagos tortoises. Return to the hotel and lodging. B/BL

    Day 7: Isabela Island – The Tunnels of Cape Rosa – Giant Tortoise Breeding Center – Flamingos Lagoon
    Prepare yourself for one of the best days of this trip! After sailing for 45 minutes from Puerto Villamil, we will reach Cape Rosa, and Finados Bay on the western side of the island. This is one of the most beautiful and amazing places nature has bestowed upon humankind. Here we can walk over the connected lava tunnels surrounded by the crystal sea waters. From the surface, you will be able to see dozens of sea turtles, penguins and rays. You can also snorkel or simply swim along this rich marine fauna. As we sail to and from Isabela, we might be able to see manta rays of different sizes – a truly unique experience. And if it is their mating season, we will watch them floating upside-down on the surface, waiting to have their pictures taken.

    Lunch back in town. In the afternoon, we will visit the Giant Tortoise Breeding Center where you will be able to observe tortoises of all ages and sizes. We will also learn about the breeding and farming of giant tortoises and see all the work that is being done to help recover the wild populations of these species. Finally, we will take a walk to see the Flamingos Lagoon. Return to the hotel and lodging. B/L

    Day 8: Isabela Island- Santa Cruz Island-Baltra
    We are going to depart early in the morning to take a speed boat back to Puerto Ayora in Santa Cruz Island. After getting there we will take a bus to the Baltra airport where you will check-in for your flight back to mainland Ecuador. You can also take an inter-island flight in a plane with a capacity of 5 to 9 passengers. The flight from Isabela to the Baltra airport takes 30 minutes and connects to the flight to the continent (no flights on Sundays). This service is optional; it is charged extra and should be booked at least 48 hours in advance. B/-/-

    RECOMMENDATIONS

    ✓ Procure Medical and/or Travel insurance prior to your trip.
    ✓ Luggage: We suggest you take a 10kg suitcase and a carry on. This is what is allowed by the local airlines. Please bear in mind that trips in Galapagos take place outdoors and include hikes, swimming, scuba diving, and other physical activities that require comfortable, lightweight, informal clothing.
    ✓ Clothing: For the hot months (December — May) we recommend a bathing suit, T-shirts, shorts, sunglasses, cap or hat, insect repellent, sunscreen, sport shoes that are good for walking in lava and rocks, and sandals. For the cooler months (June — November), a waterproof jacket or poncho and light pants are necessary. Other important items are lip balm, eye drops, waterproof bags for electronic equipment, binoculars, patches or pills for sea sickness, a photo or video camera and enough film, batteries or chargers and any personal medications that you normally use.
